"Stay On The BASS-line"

The Breakfast Club was a dance-pop band from the 1980s. Their most famous member is not in this video, or anywhere on the album. Madonna had already moved on to bigger things by the time this was made in 1987. For the first part of the 1980s, I was totally focused on my music career. In 1987, I got off track, and went back to school. It was in many ways a smart move, because even by that point, I had fallen out of the loop of the pop music world. More than any other single factor, what has held me back has been my constant shifting from one track to another. Now I’m back in school, and hopefully this time I can stay on track, stay on the baseline, and score.
