Here is another
song from my Ashley Standing period. This one is not very subtle. Back in 1995,
I was looking pretty good. Fit, tan, young. These days, I try to run and
exercise, but my back and my knees sometimes have other ideas. It’s becoming
more of a challenge to not blob out. Last night, as I was brushing my hair, I
panicked, thinking there was more hair left in the brush than there should be.
Hitomi reassured me that I still have plenty of hair. That still doesn’t explain
the old guy in the mirror.
Treat For A Trick

One night, going
all the way
Not right, but
there are bills to pay
I don’t have many
options
And I’m running
out of time
I’m jumping at
chances I’d normally decline
Bad news: I’m
positive
There's something
wrong with me, but I still want to live
You don’t want to
hear this, but you need to know
And I'd like to
ask favor before I go
How about a treat
for a trick?
It's not much to
ask, and I hate to beg
So let’s make it
simple and quick
Like the act that
landed us in this bed
Funny how one
moment makes such a difference
Sorry now I didn’t
put up more defense
The trick is to
land on our feet
Your assistance
would be a treat
This thing is
with me everyday
Escape -- I wish
there was a way
I’ve got a new
companion
Who is
introducing me to ever-widening circles
Sharing one
adversity
How about a treat
for a trick?
It's not much to
ask, and I hate to beg
So let’s make it
simple and quick
Like the act that
landed us in this bed
Funny how one
moment makes such a difference
Sorry now I didn’t
put up more defense
The trick is to
land on our feet
Your assistance
would be a treat"All Together Vertical"
