I’ve occasionally
had words with someone who thought they recognized themselves in a song of
mine. While I not infrequently use events from my life as the basis for songs,
I nearly always have to alter reality in the interest of improving the song. Very
few of my songs would really qualify as autobiographical. This is not one of
them.
Ankle Bracelet
© 1992 Brian Hutzell
Stripped down to your
ankle bracelet
Stripped down to your
ankle bracelet
Follow you--every
movement
Where you go I will
know You'll be stripped down to your ankle bracelet
Striped down to nothing
What have you ever
done to deserve it?
I'll be watching you
in the shower
Don't pretend I don't
have the power
In my grip you'll be
my slave, having forged your own chain
It's unfair--don't
know it!
But who cares, the
way you blow it
Stripped down to your
ankle bracelet
Stripped down to your
ankle bracelet
Follow you--every
movement
Where you go I will
know
You'll be stripped
down to your ankle bracelet
Stripped down to
nothing
Nobody else alive
could carry this weight
You've gone insane,
and the only thing you want to give me is your brain
Stripped down to your
ankle bracelet
Follow you--every
movement
Where you go I will
know
You'll be stripped
down to your ankle bracelet
Stripped down to
nothing
We lost the time, we
lost our minds
I stand before you
naked--telling, asking, begging you to be mine
I am stripped down to
my ankle bracelet
Stripped down to my
ankle bracelet
Follow me--every
movement
Love me, some
improvement
Watch me strip down
Let's not slip now
that we're stripped down to nothing
Stripped of the ankle
bracelet
Stripped of the ankle
bracelet
