“Onstage” is from
my song collection Des Moines.
Leaving Cambridge for Des Moines is one of the dumbest things I’ve ever done. While
still in Cambridge, I was in artist mode. I wore my Keith Haring influence on
my sleeve all the way through Bigsong II.
Too many of my heroes are dead.
